At UAtech Venture Night in Barcelona, one of the startups that stood out among the finalists was Catomize, founded by Ukrainian entrepreneur Galyna Pustova. The company received the Best Female Founder award, highlighting both the strength of the team and the relevance of the problem they are solving.
Catomize addresses a challenge familiar to almost every online shopper. A customer finds the right product, the right size, and the right color, only to discover at checkout that the item is suddenly out of stock. While many assume this is a user experience issue, the real problem often lies deeper in the infrastructure that connects warehouses, e-commerce platforms, and inventory systems.
Catomize has developed a real-time infrastructure layer for e-commerce that synchronizes stock across warehouses, online stores, and multiple sales channels simultaneously. By ensuring that inventory data remains consistent across systems, the platform helps retailers prevent costly mismatches that lead to lost revenue and frustrated customers.
Early implementations have already demonstrated measurable impact. In collaboration with the European sports retailer 21RUN, the technology helped increase conversion rates from 1.5% to 3%, improve API response performance by 40 times, and reduce infrastructure costs by 24 percent.
Operating in a global e-commerce market valued at more than $18 trillion, Catomize is positioning itself as a key infrastructure solution for mid-market retailers seeking to scale reliably across channels.
For the UAtech team, the recognition of Catomize was also a meaningful moment beyond the technical achievement. Seeing a Ukrainian startup build deep technology products and present them on an international stage in Barcelona reflects the growing strength of the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem.
As Catomize continues to develop its technology and expand into global markets, the company’s progress will be closely watched by both investors and industry partners.
